Objectives
To help businesses without telematics to reduce their fleet costs by providing insights for improving asset management and using vehicles more efficiently. This is the first step in shifting to an optimised fleet system.
Eligibility
- New Zealand businesses with at least 20 vehicles that do not have access to telematics data.
- Public service departments and crown entities are not eligible.
Got telematics data? Our co-funding for fleet optimisation provides a professional analysis of your fleet and telematics data to find fuel savings.
What the funding covers
A fleet study covers:
- A survey of your entire fleet, to gain an understanding of your current state by looking at existing strategy, physical make up, operational approach (including asset management system), cost levers and environmental outputs.
- You'll receive an audit and composition report and presentation outlining the available cost-saving opportunities.
What kind of project is this for?
This co-funding is a great place to start — helping benchmark current operations and identify ways to run your fleet more efficiently.
Fleet study co-funding is for those who:
- have more than 20 vehicles in their fleet, but are not currently using telematics.
- would like to have an effective internal audit process in place for their fleet.
Co-funding is capped at 50% of the cost, up to a maximum of $5,000 excluding GST.
