Gas supply is tightening in New Zealand, creating greater cost and supply uncertainty for commercial and industrial businesses. 

EECA has expanded its independent advisory support to help businesses reduce their reliance on reticulated natural gas, improve energy efficiency and develop investment-ready energy projects. This complements financing available through the Government's Gas Transition Loan Guarantee Scheme.

EECA and BusinessNZ are hosting regional workshops across the North Island to help businesses understand the steps they can take now, while planning for larger efficiency, renewable energy or fuel-switching projects. 

The aim is to lower energy costs, improve resilience and make confident energy decisions.

  • You’ve already begun exploring alternatives to gas but want expert advice on what to do next
