Approved products must meet certain requirements

Insulation and heating programmes such as Warmer Kiwi Homes and various local council programmes offer products from an approved products list. Products can be added to the list if they meet certain requirements.

Apply to be on a list

If your product meets the requirements, you can apply to have it added to the list. EECA requires test information for products used in programmes it administers.

Council funding programmes

These councils help ratepayers to pay for insulation and/or heating through programmes such as ‘voluntary targeted rates’, where the cost of installation is added to their rates bill and paid off over time.
