Objectives
To identify opportunities for accelerating your energy transition and getting onto a long-term pathway for reducing emissions. An expert assessment will identify the most viable decisions and investments you can make.
Eligibility
- Open to New Zealand-registered businesses and public organisations that spend more than $3 million a year on stationary energy (that used in fixed locations).
- Co-funding is capped at 40% of the cost of an opportunities assessment, up to a maximum of $35,000.
What gets assessed?
An expert assessment helps to identify opportunities and initiatives aligned to your strategic and asset management plans. It covers:
- your stationary energy use and related emissions across all your sites (excludes transport)
- new technology and process change opportunities
- energy efficiency and heat recovery opportunities
- sustainable fuel-switching options for fossil fuel assets such as boilers
- an initial emissions reduction pathway supported by a financial assessment of the options.
The resulting report is a strategic document built on a detailed technical basis.
