Mō te tūnga | About the role
EECA’s Standards and Technical team is responsible for developing technical information, standards and specifications which influence behavioural and technological change throughout New Zealand.
Due to an internal promotion, we are looking for a Technical Analyst to provide technical and analytical support to support the development, delivery and operation of EECA’s regulatory programme. This role will also contribute to the end-to-end management of technical product and application data.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
· Respond to inquiries and engage with stakeholders in relation to regulatory requirements and team projects and programmes.
· Contribute to the overall regulatory programme and assigned team projects and reports, including with data analysis and visualisation
· Contribute to the management of technical product and application data. This includes collection, verification, analysis as well as developing and maintaining systems that underpin this function

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

A tertiary qualification in a relevant field or discipline

Experience in process mapping, data gathering, data verification & analysis, report writing

Strong communication skills – both written and verbal

Ability to communicate complex information to a non-technical audience

A proactive and collaborative approach
-
Experience working as a part of complex or technically challenging projects or programmes of work
Highly Advantageous – Some experience working with products, systems or services relevant to EECA, for example, whiteware and appliances, solar PV systems, industrial and commercial systems like refrigeration or motors.
