Mō te tūnga | About the role

The Innovation and Technology team is responsible for helping shape the technical aspects of new energy related initiatives. It identifies and explores new energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies, trends and solutions.

We’re looking for an Industrial Technology Lead to work with businesses investigating innovative new technologies to identify opportunities for demonstration and diffusion relating to energy use across sectors.

 

The role will also provide technical support across EECA for the development of new programmes and to support EECA’s engagement with businesses to encourage the uptake of innovative technologies. We are looking for expertise in a range of technologies relating to manufacturing and process heat, and including new electrification, decarbonisation and energy efficiency technologies.

To be successful in this role you will have: 

  • Technical and commercial understanding across industrial, manufacturing, process heat and transport technologies

  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of business issues, energy use and technologies

  • Experience in programme design processes

  • The demonstrated ability to get results working with multiple stakeholders

  • A proactive, resourceful and self-starting operating style with the capacity to meet deadlines.
