EECA’s targeted investment and support
EECA supports projects that demonstrate how smarter energy use can reduce demand, improve efficiency, and deliver real savings for people and businesses across New Zealand.
Past programmes have delivered co-funding and expert support to help businesses, public sector organisations, and households access innovative, efficient technologies — and to share their learnings widely.
This support has cut costs, improved energy resilience, and reduced emissions across New Zealand.
Projects that have been co-funded
-
Low emissions transport
The Low Emissions Transport Fund focuses on activities in the transport sector that move people and/or goods on roads, off-road, and in the marine and aviation sectors to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
-
Industry decarbonisation
The Government Investment in Decarbonising Industry (GIDI) Fund provided support for businesses to switch from fossil fuels to cleaner, more efficient, energy sources across the industrial and commercial sectors. The GIDI Fund closed in 2023.
How we can help your organisation
We can help your business become more productive with less energy, and support uptake of renewable energy.
We offer programmes that unpack your energy use to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and cost savings. We also offer co-funding for the demonstration and early adoption of innovative clean energy technologies.
