EECA has commissioned a revision to Standard NZS4243: Part 2:2007 to reflect advancements in lighting technology used in commercial building and accepted industry best practice.
Standards and regulations projects
Standards underpin regulation by providing technical specifications and testing protocols for appliances and technologies that are permitted to be sold in New Zealand.
EECA is closely involved in New Zealand, trans-Tasman and international standards development, with active involvement in 25 standards committees covering technologies such as gas, electricity and solar power. EECA also participates in standards for air conditioning, whiteware and lighting.
Note: standards and regulations relating to the E3 programme are housed in the Measures under consideration page.
Public feedback is a fundamental aspect of the development process, and we encourage and welcome input from interested individuals and organisations.
