The Publicly Available Specification (PAS) for high temperature heat pumps is intended to help reduce information barriers around the uptake of efficient, low-emission alternatives to coal boilers.
This PAS is based on a review of available heat pump/vapour compression international standards, including the methodology in AS/NZS 4234:20XX Heated water systems – Calculation of energy consumption, recently released for public consultation.
In recognition of the variety of use scenarios for high temperature heat pumps, smaller heat pumps suitable for use in applications such as heating in schools are covered along with industrial and commercial heat pump process heat applications.
The PAS is free to download via Standards New Zealand.
