Launching soon
The GIDI: Clean Tech Commercial Lighting programme is launching soon. This programme offers businesses up to 50% co-funding to help them replace and upgrade to cleaner, more energy efficient lighting – lowering their energy bills.
An RFP is now out for suppliers of commercial lighting technology who would like to be part of a panel to work collaboratively with the EECA and other stakeholders.
Join the Commercial Lighting programme suppliers panel
EECA is building a nationwide panel of experienced commercial lighting suppliers to design and install LED lighting in commercial buildings. Suppliers appointed to the EECA panel, will have the ability to offer EECA’s co-funding to commercial building owners or tenants, and supply and install EECA approved lighting equipment.
EECA will market the programme to businesses, alongside the benefits of upgrading to energy efficient lighting.
We are looking for:
- An ability and willingness to work collaboratively with EECA and other stakeholders throughout the supply chain to achieve the programmes objectives.
- A proven track record of delivering standardised efficiency assessments and lighting retrofits based on international best practice across multiple sites in New Zealand, on time, to budget and to the required standard.
- Strong customer relationship skills, data management and reporting systems.
How the funding works
- Co-funding is for buildings classified as commercial or industrial – not residential or those owned by central government.
- Suppliers submit applications for customer sites to EECA for up to 50% co-funding.
- Co-funding is calculated on the energy efficiency of the lighting system upgrade.
- Only registered suppliers in the programme can offer co-funding to customers.
