Mō te tūnga | About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join EECA’s Policy and Engagement team, which is responsible for providing policy advice, information and other assistance on energy matters for the Minister for Energy and other key stakeholders.
Your key priorities will be:
- Developing responses to Official Information Act requests, Ministerial correspondence, and Parliamentary questions.
- Contributing to EECA policy advice for Ministers and other stakeholders.
- Representing EECA in cross-agency initiatives, focused on energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy
- Preparing and coordinating briefings, along with responding to information requests.
- Working with a dedicated team of people who are passionate about what they do.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

A tertiary qualification in public policy, economics, humanities, psychology or similar

Relevant work experience

Outstanding communication skills - both written and verbal
- Understanding of the machinery of Government
- A proactive and collaborative approach.
