Account Manager - Business Team

The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA) is a government agency that aims to improve the environmental, economic and social well-being of New Zealanders, through the uptake of energy efficiency and renewable energy.  We aim to influence the energy decisions of households, businesses, motorists and transport operators through the provision of trusted information and targeted programmes.

Though a small organisation, we are effective by working in partnership with a broad range of public and private sector organisations.  Our work includes an insulation programme that has retrofitted more than 270,000 New Zealand homes; the Energy Spot television advertisements that help households save energy, energy labels on products and vehicles; driver behaviour programmes for heavy vehicle fleets, and a business programme focused on large energy users and carbon intensive industries.

Our Business Team develops and implements programmes to promote the uptake of economic energy efficiency and renewable energy.  The opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to come and join our team as an Account Manager in Wellington or Christchurch.

You will play a pivotal role in influencing Large Energy users including local and central government to create changes leading to greater energy efficiencies.  The ability to build and develop new and lasting relationships with key stakeholders, assisting them to see the benefits of potential energy savings will ensure your success within our motivated team.

As an innovative, competent and passionate individual, you will work closely with other members of the wider EECA team to overcome barriers and resistance to change, ensuring the satisfaction of the businesses, service providers and delivery partners.  This is your chance to contribute to improvements which will benefit all of New Zealand.
