Heat pump water heating suppliers

A heat pump water heating pilot programme is currently underway. The pilot aims to raise the profile of this form of efficient water heating, while gathering information to better understand the performance of heat pump water heaters in New Zealand conditions.

Which heat pump water heaters are eligible for the programme?

Under the heat pump water heating pilot programme, ENERGYWISE™ grants are available for a limited time to homes or businesses installing eligible heat pump water heaters.

Eligible heat pump water heaters are those that are:

  • Supplied by a manufacturer or importer who has successfully applied to EECA to take part in the scheme
  • Installed by a qualified tradesperson
  • Installed during the period of the programme

Information for installers and suppliers

The heat pump water heating pilot scheme is due to run until at least September 2009.
