ENERGY STAR version 4.0 and 5.0 TV specification finalised by US EPA

3 Sept 2009 - TVs will soon need to be 40% more energy efficient than conventional models to achieve the ENERGY STAR label.

The version 4.0 and 5.0 ENERGY STAR specifications for TVs have been finalised by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as of September 3, 2009.

New ENERGY STAR specification for CFLs

1 July 2009 - EECA has introduced a new specification to help consumers identify CFLs with leading energy efficiency and performance.
