Clive scouring company: heat recovery saves $100,000 per year

Clive Scouring in Napier is capturing heat previously released as waste and turning it into energy savings worth more than $100,000 a year.

Clive Scouring captures energy from its chimney and uses it to pre-heat water for other processes at the plant.

The project has a one-year pay back and on top of the energy savings, the new system has also cut the company's annual CO2 emissions by 516 tonnes.
