The following findings are part of EECA’s quarterly consumer research that tracks the nation’s views on energy efficiency and renewable energy. The research provides a snapshot – and tracks change over time – on attitudes to different energy issues at home, on the road, at work, and around where our energy comes from.
This report outlines research conducted by the University of Otago which looks at the heating and cooling potential of moving roof space air into a home's living areas, as the most common type of home ventilation system does.
The report recommends that this type of ventilation system - known as a "positive pressure" or "roof cavity" system - is not promoted or installed based on potential heating or cooling benefits.
EECA was a part-funder of this Otago University research report.
This document sets out, and seeks your feedback on, a draft proposal for new minimum energy performance standards (MEPS) and labelling for computers and computer monitors, proposed for introduction no earlier than October 2012.
