Home grants scoring criteria
Cost Effectiveness 30%
We will look at the lifetime energy savings your project is expected to generate from the total of all the measures you expect to install. Your energy savings will be compared to the amount of EECA funding requested. We will score the cost of savings in cents per kilowatt hour.
Third Party Funding
10%
Applicants with high levels of third-party funding will receive higher scores than those with low levels.
Low Income Target Market 10%
Projects that target more than 80% low income households will achieve a higher score.
Capability 30%
We will consider the capability of your organisation to complete the project successfully. That will include your project management experience (10%), business and marketing plans (10%) and the resources you have available (10%)
Cost per house 20%
To score well in this area applications should achieve the lowest possible cost per house, whilst ensuring that the project is viable. Only the cost of the core measures will be considered. The cost per house is normalised to enable EECA to make a fair comparison between projects in different climate zones and with different average size of house.
