Rick Zalesky
Richard E. (Rick) Zalesky is Vice President of the Biofuels and Hydrogen business for Chevron Technology Ventures Company, LLC. In this role, he has responsibility for the commercialisation of infrastructure development, production and supply, as well as all current technology initiatives.
Rick is Chevron’s representative on the Fuel Operations Group of the FreedomCAR and Fuel Programme of the Department of Energy.

Jose Edison Parro
José Edison Parro is President of the Brazilian Association of Automotive Engineering. He is also head of Governmental Relations at Delphi Automotive Systems do Brasil Ltda. Previously he worked for General Motors in Brazil for 28 years.

Howard Moore
Howard is an experienced dairy industry executive with 25 years in the business. He entered the venture capital industry when he joined BioPacificVentures in March 2004 as executive director.
Prior to joining BioPacificVentures, Howard was executive vice president of Tercica Inc., a U.S.-based corporation he co-founded in Auckland before moving the business to San Francisco.

Barrie Leay
Barrie Leay is a Director of Aquaflow Bionomics Corporation where they are committed to developing a means to produce a new biofuel from algae. Barrie’s CV includes: founder Chairman of Aquaflow Bionomics Corporation Limited; founder Chairman of Biobutanol Limited; founder Chairman of Bio Refineries Limited; Chairman of Windflow Technology Limited; Chairman of Broadband Technologies Limited; Chairman of thepacific.net; Director of New Zealand Windfarms Limited.

Trevor Stuthridge
Dr Trevor Stuthridge is Unit Leader, Eco-Smart Technologies, at Scion, Rotorua. Eco-Smart Technologies are developing innovative environmental and industrial (bio)technologies, with a particular emphasis on value creation from industrial wastes and residues. Dr Stuthridge has a PhD in environmental chemistry from University of Waikato and is an adjunct Professor at Victoria University of Wellington and University of Toronto.

Dickon Posnett
Dickon Posnett, Managing Director of Argent Energy NZ Ltd, spent six years pioneering the UK Treasury’s Wider Markets Initiative, establishing new businesses and founding commercial partnerships. As Development Director for Argent Energy he has worked on the completion of a 50,000 tonne tallow biodiesel demonstration plant for Europe, planning for a new 150,000 tonne plant near Liverpool and a renewable power plant.

John Benemann
John’s research and consulting work spans across disciplines and institutions, from the fundamental problems of photosynthesis and biological hydrogen production to the engineering of wastewater treatment ponds and landfills to abate greenhouse gas emissions.
Among other occupations, he currently manages the International Network on Biofixation of CO2 and Greenhouse Gas Abatement with Microalgae, whose founding members are the US DOE and Eni (the Italian Oil Company).
