What are gas space heaters and flame effect appliances?
Gas space heaters are heating appliances that are intended to be used with various types of gas (e.g. LPG.) There are a number of types including convection heaters, radiant heaters, and recessed wall heaters.
Flame effect fires are appliances where the primary purpose is decorative, rather than space heating. This type of appliance has a decorative ‘flame' effect simulating a log, coal or other fuel fire.
