This document summarises the final draft ENERGY STAR heat pump specification v2.0.
The two key changes in the new specification are:
- A small increase in the levels of EER and COP in three of the four capacity bands.
- Inclusion of a winter performance requirement (under H2 conditions).
This specification will now be submitted to the United States ENERGY STAR programme for approval, with the expected launch date of 1 April 2010.
