Tourism energy efficiency programme launched
EECA has joined forces with the Tourism Industry Association New Zealand (TIA) to launch a new programme that will help tourism businesses improve their competitiveness and environmental credentials through better energy management.
Protecting our natural environment is crucial for the New Zealand's tourism sector, which trades on our unique environment as a key tourism product. The Tourism Energy Efficiency Programme (TEEP) provides practical assistance for tourism businesses in the accommodation and transport sectors to reduce their electricity consumption, fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
