Budget 2009: Grants to get biodiesel industry going

New Zealand's biodiesel industry will get a helping hand with new grant funding announced in this year's budget.

$36 million will be allocated to the programme over three years, and the grants will be available for biodiesel producers from 1 July. The funding is good news all around - it will help the industry get up and running, which will provide jobs for New Zealanders, and also help reduce the country's greenhouse gas emissions.
