About our business

Sustainability Trust, a Wellington based not-for-profit organization has been delivering the benefits of warm dry homes to Wellington, Porirua, Hutt Valley, and Kapiti for over five years. Our mission is to provide a warm, dry, home for all residents in the Wellington region. We offer a competitively priced insulation and heating service with all our profits being returned to the community through sustainability initiatives and education. To date the Trust has warmed up over 3000 homes through the Warm Up New Zealand: Heat Smart programme and now also offers clean heating products and other energy efficiency measures to eligible households. The Trust uses high quality and allergy-free polyester insulation products form NZ manufacturer Insulpro (Novatherm and Novafloor). We also work with experienced heating suppliers including Hilite Electrical (Heatpumps); Ablaze NZ (wood burners and pellet fires); and Graeme Sinclair Plumbing (flued gas heating) to supply clean heating under the EnergyWise grant programme. Sustainability Trust also hosts the Wellington Branch of the Home Energy Advice Centre (HEAC) - an independent and impartial energy advice service. This publicly funded service offers advice on all aspects of home energy use and is independent of any commercial influence. HEAC advisors can be reached on 0800 388 588.
