Criteria for ENERGY STAR® manufacturer/distributor partners
Being an ENERGY STAR manufacturer/distributor partner can help build your reputation as an environmentally-responsible business.
Promoting and supporting the ENERGY STAR programme helps your clients and New Zealand consumers easily identify the most energy efficient products and strengthens the trust they have in your business, your product technology, brands and sales staff.
Criteria
To become a NZ ENERGY STAR manufacturing or distributing partner you must:
- Have an office or distribution centre in New Zealand and co-ordinate a localised marketing programme
- Have products that meet the ENERGY STAR specifications
- Have your product(s) fall under the current New Zealand ENERGY STAR product categories
- Distribute or manufacture the required minimum number of ENERGY STAR qualified products under a specific product category.

Join as a manufacturer/distributor partner
To become a new manufacturer/distributor ENERGY STAR partner you must:
- Check that you meet the above criteria for manufacturer/distributor partners
- Check that your proposed qualified products meet the relevant ENERGY STAR specifications
- Follow the product registration process as outlined on the product registration page
- When your products are confirmed as qualified by the NZ ENERGY STAR programme you will be sent a NZ ENERGY STAR Partnership Agreement for signing.
- Once we have received your signed Partnership Agreement we will list your company profile and products on the EECA website along with your logo.
