Axiam plastics installs vacuum drier to cut electricity costs

Axiam Plastics has installed a new vacuum dryer to remove moisture from plastic granules before they are melted and moulded into shape. The new dryer has cut the company's electricity bill by almost $4,000 a year.

The new dryer dries the plastic granules 9 times faster than previously - meaning that Axiam able to increase their throughput.
