Registering televisions and set-top boxes
Existing US ENERGY STAR partners
The US ENERGY STAR programme maintains an international product database for ENERGY STAR qualified televisions and set-top boxes. For existing US partners, the registration process is outlined below:
1. Check the qualified product models listed on the US ENERGY STAR qualified product database (external link).
2. Copy the product information from the US ENERGY STAR database into an Excel spreadsheet.
3. Complete the supplier declaration form.
4. Email these to the NZ ENERGY STAR team.
5. The NZ ENERGY STAR team will verify your product list against the US ENERGY STAR website as a final check.
6. Qualified models will then be posted on the EECA website.
7. We'll inform you once the process is complete.
Registering products directly with the NZ programme
If your product is not listed on the US ENERGY STAR product database you can register it directly with the NZ ENERGY STAR programme by following these steps:
1. Complete the registration form which requires testing information as outlined in the ENERGY STAR specification.
2. Complete the supplier declaration form. You only need to submit one form per set of new products submitted to the NZ ENERGY STAR programme.
3. Email both documents to the NZ ENERGY STAR team for verification and qualification.
4. Qualified models will then be posted on the EECA website.
5. We'll inform you once the process is complete.
