University of Otago wood boiler monitoring report
Research and reports
1 June 2010
The University of Otago property services building has previously been partially converted from direct electric heating to hot waters radiators with a wood pellet fuelled boiler. The installation of a second unit, a 100 kW Hargassner wood chip boiler, will allow the removal of the remaining electric heaters and an LPG operated warm air system from the carpenters' workshop. This monitoring report outlines the economic and environmental outcomes of the installation.
