EECA Board at full strength
EECA welcomes four new Board members – Penny Hulse, Toni Owen, Dr Andy Pearce and Greg Sise. With these appointments the EECA Board is now at its full strength of eight members.
The full Board is Roger Sutton Chair, Alastair Patrick Deputy Chair, Russell Longuet, Dennis Parker, Toni Owen, Greg Sise, Dr Andy Pearce and Penny Hulse.
“The new members to the Board come from various areas of the country and bring a wide range of skills that reach across business, finance, transport and sustainable housing,” says Energy Minister David Parker who made the appointments. “They bring additional strength in the areas of advocacy, networking and governance.
“The enthusiasm of these Board members and our recently appointed Chair Roger Sutton will be instrumental in the development of our energy strategies as we work towards achieving our goal of a sustainable New Zealand.”
EECA Chairman Roger Sutton paid tribute to previous Chairman Mark Ford, Deputy Chair Geraldine Baumann and Professor Ralph Sims all of whom retired from the Board earlier in the year. “Their contribution over the last years has been considerable and we wish them all well for the future.”
Members of the Board are responsible for the supervision and direction of EECA, including the long-term strategic financial plan, strategic initiatives, budgets and the policy framework.
The day-to-day management of EECA is delegated to the Chief Executive, who is appointed by the Board.
