EECA presents a one day conference focusing on biodiesel and bioethanol, and their place in New Zealand’s transport energy future.

This conference offers you a unique chance to hear from key speakers involved in biofuels, as well as an opportunity for group discussion.

Hear international speakers share their experiences of bringing biofuels to market, and updates from key participants in New Zealand’s biofuels industry.

 

Keynote speakers:

 

  • Martin Mittelbach - Martin is one of the most important biodiesel experts worldwide and head of Renewable Resources Group of the Institute for Chemistry at the Karl-Franzens University Graz. With over 20 years experience in biodiesel research, production and quality testing, he brings a unique knowledge to this conference.
  • Yasunori Takei from Japan Automobile Manufacturers Assocation (JAMA) – JAMA is a Tokyo-based trade association representing 14 Japanese car, truck, bus and motorcycle manufacturers.

 

The aims of the conference include:

  • To update industry and other stakeholders on the progress of biofuels in New Zealand
  • To update on the development of the biofuels sales obligation
  • To share international experience
