Genesis Energy is committed to providing security of supply to New Zealand. While guaranteeing our customers a reliable source of electricity, Genesis Energy also gives its customers the means to conserve energy use in their homes and businesses, thereby reducing customer spend on energy and easing pressure on the country’s energy resources.

This year Genesis Energy has progressively rolled out an Energy Management Workshop to high-use customers to educate businesses on steps that can be taken to reduce energy use. We also conduct energy audits on large customers to identify areas for energy conservation. Our household customers have benefited from partnerships that offered access to energy-efficient heat pumps and fridges.

Genesis Energy supports EECA’s endeavours to encourage innovation and efficiency in energy production and use, and is proud to sponsor the Commercial/Services Award, which awards excellence in energy conservation in the private sector commercial building, retail and service organisations.
