Since 1904, the Little Sisters of the Poor has run its home and hospital providing care facilities for the elderly. Constant hot water and heating are vital, and changing to a wood chip boiler ensured a reliable supply of both at significantly reduced costs.
The average energy cost savings were $12,510 per month and carbon emissions were reduced by 490 tonnes per year.
