Commercial sector programmes
Our commercial sector programmes target electricity efficiency in New Zealand's commercial and public buildings, such as retail outlets, hospitals, offices, hotels, supermarkets and schools.
The programmes aim to help those in the commercial sector to overcome barriers to electricity efficiency. We expect that as a result of the programmes a large number of electricity-saving projects will happen that wouldn't otherwise have gone ahead.
Financial assistance is available to New Zealand businesses that want to improve their electricity efficiency.
We are developing training and education resources to address the lack of good information on electricity efficiency technologies and potential in the commercial sector.
