EECA Awards 2010

Message from the Chief Executive

Good energy management - a vital goal

How we generate and use energy is one of the most critical global issues of our time.

In New Zealand, a key goal for our government is managing our energy resources to ensure our economy keeps growing, prices are affordable, and we have a secure and environmentally responsible energy system.

The decisions we make around energy touch all aspects of our lives, every day. They can be seen in the profitability of our businesses, the impact we have on our environment, our health and wellbeing, and the way we are viewed by the rest of world.

It affects us all - and we can all play our part.

The EECA Awards recognise businesses, organisations, and individuals who are coming up with innovative and practical ways to use our energy resources in the best way they can, because they recognise the benefits are huge.

The entries come from all sectors of the economy and the projects are varied - reflecting the fact that opportunities for good energy managment exist everywhere.

If you have an energy management project you are proud of, I encourage you to enter.

Sponsorship packages are also available, email us for more details.
